As a psychiatric Rehabilitation Program, we offer group activities on-site, as well as opportunities for education including but not limited to: chronic health monitoring skills, daily living skill development and etc. off-site service include but not limited to: home visits, attending appointments as necessary and set out in person-centered treatment plan. By choosing “Both On-Site and Off-site” you are not requiring participating in both types, but have it as an option for treatment.
Skill classes will be modeled on Boston University Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation’s template on group learning: Tell, show, do. Staff will instruct participants how to implement a skill, give examples of how to implement a skill and then allow the participant to practice a skill. The program will then give opportunities for program participants to practice new skills in the community. For example, a PRP worker/Councilor might take a group of clients on a food shopping trip to practice their skills in developing a shopping list and fulfilling the list in the most economical means available.
